The Delta jr kids’ ski set includes:
– Skis: Peltonen Delta jr, 120 – 140 cm

Help with putting together a kids’ ski set:

We recommend choosing ski boots one size larger than your regular shoes. For a child you can safely leave some room to grow and choose 2 sizes larger.

The skis included in the set are classic skis, but by choosing a shorter length you can also use them for the skating technique (you cannot ski classic with skate skis).

As a rule, classic technique skis should be 15-20 cm longer than yourself, and skate skis 5-10 cm longer than your height. Anyone who wants to ski in both techniques with one pair of skis should choose a ski about 10-15 cm longer than their height.

For a smaller child who is just starting to ski, skis of their own height are best. Longer skis are harder to manoeuvre and may put the child off skiing altogether.

Formula for finding the right pole length:
For classic technique: skier’s height x 0.85
For skating technique: skier’s height x 0.9

Quick waxes are suitable for waxing these skis. For classic skiing we definitely recommend applying grip wax to the middle of the ski. Choose a suitable product here.
