Ankle

The ankle is one of the most frequently injured parts of the body in sport. Players of various ball games in particular know what happens when you land badly from a jump, or there is contact with another player and someone steps on your foot. But runners, racket sports players, hikers and those who do other sports involving sudden changes of direction are not protected from ankle injuries either.
Ankle injuries generally do not require surgery, but full recovery takes time, and if the ankle is not protected, recovery takes a very long time and the risk of a new injury remains high.

Zamst ankle supports are specially designed for athletes, with the aim of restoring ankle function as quickly as possible.
If you have hurt your ankle but the injury is not severe, we recommend using the A1 or A1-S supports, which stabilise the ankle properly and let you get back to the sports hall or running track within just a few days. The A1 is also for preventing recurring ankle injuries.

If the problem is more serious but for some reason you need to continue training/competing, use the A2-DX support, which stabilises the ankle so that the foot cannot twist either inwards or outwards. This support is used by many top athletes during competitions.

Injury prevention has recently become a hot topic. Footballers know that the ankle has to be taped before every game so that they can train again tomorrow. The new, ultra-thin FILMISTA ankle support replaces daily taping and protects the ankle from injury. FILMISTA is a three-layer support with panels of varying stiffness that is worn against the skin inside the sock.
