239.90€

The studded trail running shoe Järv Gaiter BUGrip® GTX is Icebug’s best-equipped winter running shoe, designed to provide maximum grip, protection and comfort in all kinds of winter conditions. The shoe combines a waterproof GORE-TEX® membrane, an integrated raised upper with protection (a gaiter) and 18 dynamic carbide studs that ensure a firm grip on ice, snow, wet trails and frozen ground.

The upper material is made of durable and lightweight jacquard polyester, which ensures that every step feels naturally light and free. Laminated TPU mudguards provide protection when running on demanding terrain, and the waterproof GORE-TEX® Invisible Fit membrane keeps your feet dry. The Invisible Fit construction provides significantly greater comfort compared to a traditional bootie membrane construction.

Järv’s cleverly designed last has a narrower heel for stability and a roomy toe box that increases comfort over longer distances. The midsole offers an excellent combination of cushioning and stability, allowing you to comfortably handle difficult terrain. The midsole material partly contains Susterra bio-based material (corn), which adds energetic rebound to every step.

  • The BUGrip outsole has 18 dynamic carbide studs that bite into the ice and prevent slipping.
  • GORE-TEX® Invisible Fit waterproof membrane
  • The toe box of the shoe is roomy, allowing natural movement of the foot.
  • Upper material: woven jacquard (50% recycled polyester, 50% polyester)
  • TPU mudguard
  • 4 mm drop
  • Shoe weight: 380g (for size 42)

Icebug winter footwear uses dynamic studs with patented BUGrip technology. BUGrip is Icebug’s technology for ensuring the best grip in the harshest and most slippery conditions. The BUGrip sole is developed for winter trails and is made of a special rubber compound into which (depending on the model) 14-19 carbide studs are integrated. It is precisely the combination of the individual design of the studs and the rubber compound of the sole that results in studs that move slightly in their sockets (rather than being rigidly fixed). A dynamic stud retracts more easily into its socket against a very hard surface (for example asphalt), so as not to get in the way where the stud is not primarily needed. At the same time, it provides support on the next step on a surface with less resistance, i.e. a softer surface (ice, snow). This ensures the best possible grip on every surface, from dry asphalt to mirror-smooth ice.

NB! Footwear with BUGrip® studded soles is not recommended for use indoors – the studs may damage the floor surface! For short stays indoors, we recommend using Icebug Overshoe stud covers to protect the floor.
