Light and cushioned studded winter waterproof running shoes ARCUS BUGrip® GTX. Arcus refers to a cloud formation, and that is exactly how these light and well-cushioned running shoes feel on your feet. The winter ARCUS BUGrip® GTX running shoes withstand harsh weather thanks to the waterproof GORE-TEX® Invisible membrane. The membrane is integrated with the upper material, making it even softer and more comfortable compared to a traditional membrane construction.

Arcus running shoes are designed for users who want extra soft cushioning, whether for a longer run, a recovery run or running with a backpack. To increase comfort, the shoe has an EVA midsole that reduces pressure on the forefoot and heel. The BUGrip outsole has thirteen dynamic studs that ensure reliable grip on all winter surfaces.

Icebug winter footwear uses dynamic studs with patented BUGrip technology. BUGrip is Icebug’s technology for ensuring the best grip in the harshest and most slippery conditions. The BUGrip sole has been developed for winter trails and is made of a special rubber compound into which (depending on the model) 14-19 carbide studs are integrated. It is precisely the interaction of the individuality and design of the studs and the rubber compound of the sole that results in studs that move slightly in their sockets (rather than being rigidly fixed). The dynamic stud sinks more easily into its socket under the counter-pressure of a very hard surface (for example asphalt), so as not to get in the way where the presence of the stud is not essential. At the same time, it provides support on the next step on a surface with less resistance underfoot, i.e. a softer surface (ice, snow). This is how the best possible grip is ensured on every surface, from dry asphalt to mirror-smooth ice.

NB! BUGrip® studded footwear is not recommended for indoor use – the studs can damage the floor surface! For short stays indoors, we recommend using the Icebug Overshoe stud cover to protect the floor.
