Helmet Alpina ROOT MIPS Max Nerurkar Special
Out of stock
The top-level MTB helmet Alpina ROOT MIPS is designed to provide maximum safety and comfort even on the most demanding trails – enduro, trail and park riding. Thanks to its innovative ear-covering construction, the helmet offers significantly better protection against side impacts than conventional open helmets, while retaining lightness and comfort.
The helmet construction combines an impact-absorbing Hi-EPS inner layer and strategically placed multi-density EPP material around the ears and the back of the head, which retains its impact-absorbing protective properties even after repeated impacts.
The MIPS® protection system integrated into the inside of the helmet helps reduce the rotational forces generated in an angled impact, providing extra protection in complex falls. The fixed visor helps direct airflow, keeping your head cool even during intense riding. The height-adjustable fit system allows the helmet to be optimally adjusted to your head and is also compatible with a neck brace.
Alpina ROOT MIPS combines protection, comfort and riding enjoyment on any terrain.
Features:
- Airflow Venting – strategically placed vents guarantee ideal airflow
- Ceramic Shell – a durable polycarbonate outer shell bonded to the Hi-EPS inner layer using inmold technology, which is impact- and scratch-resistant, UV-stable and antistatic
- Edge Protect – polycarbonate reinforcement protecting the lower edges of the helmet, which protects the Hi-EPS material from damage and increases the helmet’s durability and service life, while giving it a refined, high-quality look
- EPP (Expanded Polypropylene) – an elastic and extremely durable impact-absorbing material that retains its protective properties even after repeated minor impacts
- Hi-EPS (High Expanded Polystyrene) – inner shell material (padding) with microscopically small air chambers that ensures optimal protection in the event of an impact
- Inmold – low weight, greater durability and better impact resistance thanks to a production technology in which the hard outer shell of the helmet and the impact-absorbing Hi-EPS inner shell are bonded together under intense heat and pressure during manufacture
- MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) – a carefully engineered protection system integrated into the inside of the helmet that helps reduce the rotational forces generated in an angled impact, which can affect the brain. The MIPS layer allows movement of 10–15 mm in all directions on impact, helping the helmet shift relative to the head at certain angles and thereby reducing the effect of the impact
- Ergomatic – twist-proof, easy-to-fasten and adjustable buckle with multi-stage automatic locking
- Run System Ergo Flex – a simple and comfortable Alpina adjustment system that allows the helmet to be adjusted precisely and comfortably to the head
- 3D-Fit – allows the height of the Run-System at the back of the head to be adjusted, ensuring better comfort, safety and fit
