Rex 1814 – A racing series grip wax for cold artificial snow, coarse abrasive snow and hard tracks. Developed according to the requirements of modern racing tracks with hard artificial snow. It is a hard wax, which means that on coarse-grained snow (which has melted and refrozen in the meantime) klister must be applied as a base layer. Use base binder as a primer, and klisters on coarse snow.

With the Rex Future Fluors label, which means that it is PFOA-free, environmentally friendly and contains safer fluorine compounds. At the same time, the performance of the creams has been improved. Products with the Rex Future Fluor label comply with the regulations on the use of fluorides that came into force in 2020.

Temperature range: -2 … -15 degrees

Grip waxes are applied to the grip zone of the ski. The best way to determine the grip zone is to do the paper test. If the skis are used only for classic technique skiing, the grip zone of the ski base could be roughened with sandpaper. This way the grip wax stays better on the ski base and is more wear-resistant.

Instructions for use

Apply a thin and even layer of binder wax to the grip zone and on top of it a grip wax suited to the temperature. Smooth with a synthetic cork. Repeat the grip wax application procedure 2-3 times, smoothing each layer. Grip waxes for different temperatures can be applied in layers. As a rule, a harder grip wax (intended for colder weather) is applied underneath to increase wear resistance and improve the bonding of the different layers. The top grip wax matches the weather.
